Alright guys, Danielle here. I'm going to let you know what i think of Pokemon Y. This was my very first Pokemon game (I know I'm late. :P), and for my first Pokemon game i found it really enjoyable. I had to look a few things up and I also had to ask my cousin some things that I couldn't figure out. I will link the things that i had trouble with and the pages that helped me out. Hopefully if any of you get stuck you can use it as well.
So first things first, the visuals in this game are great. But I had a problem with my 3D not turning on on some parts. Not sure if this has happened to others or if i was just trying to turn it off/on at the wrong parts of a game, but that is one thing to look out for.
So parts I got stuck on. I could NOT remember what I was suppose to do, it seemed so hard for me to remember where to go and who to meet. (ugh.) So i had to look for a walk through around Route 17 (?) not sure if that's where it was but after I figured out what i was suppose to do it was all good. * http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page was the website that i used for my walk through.*
The next thing that I needed help on was the Wandering Woods. By this point I was ready to beat the game and didn't want to waste time "wandering" around. So i searched for a quick walk through: http://www.thonky.com/pokemon-x-y/winding-woods/. Ta-Da! You have made it through the woods.
So Last thing was the Elite Four. I was doing great, I had 2 down and 2 to go. But then I went to the water trainer and met Gyarados. Sigh. I died and had to start all over. None of my Pokemon would really injure him, which no wonder because he is weak to Rock and Electric. Neither of which I had on my team!! :( So i had to go back to the Pokemon center and get my Pikachu, who was a level 45! My other Pokemon were level 60 at least. Please note: MAKE SURE YOU GET REVIVES! LOL! so i had to take my time and very SLOWLY defeat Gyarados. I say slowly because he would kill my Pikachu and i would have to revive him. In my opinion the hardest to beat out of the Elite Four would have been: Gyarados (water) & Aegislash (steel). The others weren't that hard to beat once I knew what their weakness was. This is the link that helped me out: http://www.gameskinny.com/i0754/pokemon-x-y-elite-four-guide. Seriously. It's awesome.
Oh yeah and here are a list of things that happen after the game : http://www.thonky.com/pokemon-x-y/post-game/
So all in all I thought it was a great game. And worth the 40$. :)
